We're delighted to share that Plato has been named to the HolonIQ and QS Quacquarelli Symonds 2026 Europe EdTech 200 - an annual list recognising the most promising education technology companies across the region.

Of the 200 companies named this year, only 4% are under three years old. Being one of them tells us that the problem we set out to solve - helping universities adopt AI in a way that is curriculum-aligned, well-governed, and genuinely useful to students and staff is resonating well beyond our own conviction.

It also reflects a deliberate choice about how we build. From the beginning, we've resisted the "bolt-on chatbot" model of AI in higher education. Our work is about embedding trusted, course-aligned support directly into the environments students and educators already use, and giving institutions the analytics to understand how that support is actually being used. Being recognised alongside Europe's leading EdTech companies is a strong indication that this approach is the right one.
